Originals

Immerse yourself in the unique beauty and tactile experience of my original artworks.

Each piece is a singular creation, meticulously crafted with passion and skill, directly from my studio. Through a blend of carefully chosen materials and techniques, I bring to life vivid colours, rich textures, and expressive forms, ensuring every original painting holds its own distinct soul.

Owning an original artwork is an investment in a one-of-a-kind narrative, a direct connection to the artist's vision. Whether you're enhancing your personal collection or searching for an extraordinary gift, an original piece will transform any space with its unparalleled presence and enduring appeal.

At present, I am only offering the sale of these original paintings locally but feel free to enquire via the contact form if you live further afield and are interested in buying one.

If you would like to purchase a giclée print then check out that section of my website.

About my Originals

What defines an original artwork?

An original artwork is a unique, handcrafted piece created by the artist. Unlike prints or reproductions, each original possesses its own distinct character, texture, and history, making it truly one-of-a-kind. It's the physical manifestation of the artist's initial vision and creative process.

What materials do you use?

I primarily work with professional-grade watercolours on high-quality cold pressed watercolour paper. I carefully select my pigments and mediums to ensure vibrant colours, rich textures, and archival quality, guaranteeing the longevity and beauty of each piece for generations to come.

How do I ensure the authenticity of my originals?

Every original artwork comes with a stamped 'Mark of authenticity' on the rear of the painting, verifying its unique status and providing key details about the piece.

I only use 'archival' quality ink which is acid-free, non-toxic and should not fade over time. The stamp size is 4cm in diameter and does not bleed through to the painted side of the paper.

My signature is also present on the artwork itself, serving as an additional mark of its genuine origin and craftsmanship.

Copyright & Intellectual Property

When an artist creates a painting, the artist owns both the copyright in the artwork, and the physical artwork.

Ownership of the copyright is an intellectual property right. Ownership of the physical artwork is a personal property right. A sale of the physical artwork does not transfer the copyrights in the artwork.
